The American Restoration mitigation team responded to the call about a water fountain leak, and met with the church pastor on site. The pastor walked our team through the affected areas, and our crew began the work. First they removed baseboards in the hallway and adjacent rooms. Fans were put into place, along with a dehumidifier, which helps control and maintain moisture levels inside the facility.

Project Managers immediately dispatched six mitigation technicians with two water extraction trucks to begin work for the client. After the situation was assessed, the technicians divided into separate crews. One crew began inside the least-affected business, as it had customer appointments starting that morning, while another began extracting water and blocking furniture to prevent further damage.
When the water was fully extracted, our technicians set up drying equipment, including fans and dehumidifiers, and began cutting into the drywall to check the moisture content of the walls.
The drying process took less than a week, and once the buildings were fully dry, the mitigation team passed the baton to our reconstruction crew.

Our team responded after-hours to this emergency call, and came ready to work. They used mitigation trucks to extract standing water, and set up fans and dehumidifiers to run overnight to remove remaining moisture throughout the building. The crew periodically checked the moisture levels with specialized meters, and once the building and the units were fully dry, our team came back to clean and repair any damages caused by the water loss. Because of the client's quick call and our team's rapid response, we were able to get the building back to pre-disaster conditions and get the tenants back into their homes.

Our team arrived onsite to to meet the homeowners and scope the job. They began by removing flooring and pulling appliances away from the walls to determine the extent of the water damage. A barrier was set up to contain the work area and a de-humidifier put in place to remove any trace moisture from the zone. Fans were also set up to make sure the damp subfloor was completely dry. When mitigation work was done, the baton was passed to our reconstruction division.
June 28, 2019 | Shelby, NC
A project manager was dispatched to scope the job site and confirm the cause of the water loss. Once this was determined, proper mitigation work began. First, contents were moved out of the basement so that all standing water could be extracted. Baseboards and shoe moldings were removed and equipment put in place to dry out all flooring and drywall. Minor mold remediation also took place. Once everything was fully dried, the baton was passed to our reconstruction team.
